9. When Transferring the Unit
Procedures from Preparing for Transfer Through Reinstalling the machine
To transfer this machine, you need to secure the print heads in place with the retainers to protect them from
damage. If your ink type is the WMT mode, you also need to circulate the ink manually then. If you transfer the
machine without performing such steps, it may cause ink leakage, which can damage the internal devices of
the machine, or cause damage to the head.
Important Notes on Transport Operations
Once the arrangement to transfer the machine is complete, move the machine promptly,
and turn on the power immediately after the machine is relocated. If you leave the machine
without turning on the power, the deposited ink is coagulated, and it may result in problems
such as clogging of the print heads.
While you are transporting the machine, keep it at a temperature between 5 to 40˚C (41 to
104˚F) and at relative humidity between 20 to 80% (with no condensation). Failure to do so
may result in breakdown.
When relocating the machine, handle it with care as keeping it upright and preventing it from
striking other objects.
